Another year is rapidly drawing to a close. I love, in a quiet, reflective manner, this interlude between Christmas and New Year’s. It’s almost as if time stops for a week, giving us opportunity to consider the year, consider our lives, where we’ve been, where we are, where we’re going.
And, as Josh Groban so beautifully sings in “Thankful,” perhaps one of the most important activities we can engage in is simply GRATITUDE.
I encourage you to take a few minutes and listen to this insightful song, and then as 2012 clicks away, reflect upon what you have to be thankful for.

What, then, causes you to be thankful?
So very, very much…

What a powerful message in a beautiful musical setting. I had not heard this before. thank you.
Yes,very powerful. If only I/we would heed the message more. Have a wonderful 2013!
Yes, so true Neal. Sometimes we look past what we have and should be thankful for and waste energy consumed by thinking about what we want or don’t have or think we need. I am thankful and blessed in so many ways but I need reminding from time to time. As we reflect on 2012 and so-to-be 2013, I hope we all realize how wonderfully fortunate, loved and blessed we are. The song “It’s Up to Us” was so beautiful and profound; it brought tears to my eyes! May God bless you in 2013!
You’re exactly right, Mark. And the song is indeed powerful. Have a wonderful 2013!
