Okay, so this week was Happier than usual. Here’s what else I’m Happy About:
6. Attending (today) the Christmas Luncheon for my daughter’s and son-in-law’s business here in Savannah. I rode the ferry across the Savannah River to Hutchinson Island and the Westin. (Wait. Did I tell you I just moved into the second floor of a glorious old late 1800’s house a couple of blocks from the river? More bout that later.)
Look what I saw as I was waiting for the ferry:
How do those big, heavy cargo ships stay afloat?! (Or airplanes fly? Or microwaves heat? I could go on and on with questions.) But here’s the ferry!
Not crowded at all.
Such a cool ride across. And here’s the Westin.
I arrived a few minutes early, so I took a peek at their decorations.
(That tree is either really cool and hip. Or a bit animalistically weird.)
What a great meal.
Here’s daughter Amy and son-in-law Ortelio:
And their staff:
I REALLY love free lunches. Yes, there IS such a thing.
7. Camelias blooming downtown.
8. Gorgeous late fall-ness.
9. Deciding to become King of the World.
Okay, okay, kings fall sometimes.
