One of the GREAT joys of living smack dab in the middle of downtown Savannah, GA–the nation’s largest National Historic Landmark District, with more than twenty beautiful city squares filled with museums, churches, mansions, monuments and famous forts of the Revolutionary & Civil War eras–is access to so many INCREDIBLE ongoing events. (My square is Washington Square.)
Soon after my arrival, I discovered Compline, a weekly Sunday night 9 pm candlelight service sung by the Compline Choir of Christ Church (Anglican) at Independent Presbyterian Church on Bull Street in Savannah.
What a beautifully, calming way to end the week. Saying “goodnight” to God.
Goodnight to all of you–and to God.

That image of the candle is breathtaking. Lovely!
