I have simply been Working up a Storm on this beautiful Friday, so haven’t had time to do the Happy Bringers.
(Okay, in the name of Blog Honesty, I admit that I have simply been a bohemian slackard all day long.)
But a having-fun slackard.
It all got started when I went down to nearby River Street (here in Savannah) for beignets at Huey’s. But on the way I saw this …
… so of course had to stop a while.
Then after the beignets …
… I discovered this funky little store on MLK with a huge dinosaur in the front window. I walked through.
What JOY to be so busy and productive!
Here’s what else I’m joyful about this day:
1. Even lifeless being beautiful.
2. Son-in-law Orte being named the Best Pain Management Physician in Savannah.
3. Visiting the Carter Presidential Museum and Library earlier this week.
Deciding to give an impromptu lecture about democracy:
(Would someone please nominate me for the Nobel Peace Prize?)
Did you know President Carter won a Grammy?
FYI. I’m thinking about running for President.
4. On the same day, visiting the Georgia State Capitol.
I decided to have a little talk with the governor.
“But ma’am, how busy could he be? Don’t other people really do all the work? Like with Obama and the Kardashians? I’ll just wait.”
“I KNOW you’re in there!”
5. Air to breath.
May this weekend bring you a moment of joyful surprise! Breathe deeply.
