I LOVE July (even with its heavy Savannah heat). July’s a bit lazy, sultry and hesitant to enter the second half of the year. It doesn’t rush into things. July takes her time.
Here’s why I’m happy, finishing this second week of the month.
1. Summer sautéing.
2. Admiring window boxes in Charleston on Tuesday.
3. Yes!
4. The truth of this statement posted on a boutique in Charleston:
So we better get to it!
5. Having to hide from the paparazzi.
Okay, one more reason for joy–grandson fireworks:
Have a great weekend–and avoid the paparazzi.

Hi Dr. Saye! Love your photos 🙂 I was going through some old material and found books and writings from your English 1101 class. I wanted to say how I thoroughly enjoyed that class and to this day is one of my fondest memories at Georgia Southern. Still have my love book, too! Just was thinking about you and was not sure how to get in touch with you so I hope that you see this one day!
Rachel! It’s SO great to hear from you. I hope all is going well. Yes, I remember that class you had with me was a great group of students! I,m now teaching as an adjunct at SCAD, but still using many of the same ideas about joy and love.
Give me an update on what’s going on with you sometime!
