Moaning.

Moaning.

This morning I’m marveling at how the “little things” we encounter in daily life can sometimes bring sudden bursts of joy to us.
“Close Encounters of the Little Kind”

A couple of weeks ago Robert and I were up near Monticello, NY and took a little walk. “Look, Neal!” he excitedly pointed, with a little too much morning verve for me. At first all I saw was a tree with splotchy marks on it, but getting closer I saw it … him … Mr. Tree!

And somehow Mr. Tree brought unexpected but welcome joy to our morning walk.

What little thing have you noticed lately that brought a smile or an “aww/awe” to your life?
Marveling this morning at the joy and many moods of PURPLE.

“All the other colors are just colors, but purple seems to have a soul – when you look at it, it’s looking back at you.” Uniek Swain
Definitely marveling. This past Friday, Grandson Daniel opened for a three-weekend run as Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” production at the Savannah Children’s Theater.

This is a great experience for Daniel. The play is the theatre’s 2022 MainStage production, meaning there are adult, teen and child actors involved. Daniel just turned 15, and some of his adult costars in “Joseph” are professionals, brought in for the show, so he has really been learning from their expertise.

“Close every door to me,
Hide all the world from me
Bar all the windows
And shut out the light…”

Joseph:
I look handsome, I look smart
I am a walking work of art
Such a dazzling coat of many colors
How I love my coat of many colors
Narrator and All:
It was red and yellow and green and brown
And scarlet and black and ochre and peach
And ruby and olive and violet and fawn
And lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve
And cream and crimson and silver and rose
And azure and lemon and russet and grey
And purple and white and pink and orange
And red and yellow and green and brown and blue!

Great colorful and MARVELous fun!
Marveling! At Farmers Market Strawberry Joy.

Marveling, as Robert and I take a Monday morning jaunt through Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery

Marveling at getting to see and hear Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams here in Savannah on Saturday, making her case for why she should become Georgia’s next governor.

“I come here because I know Coastal Georgia, Savannah, you all face different challenges. We’re all in need of Medicaid expansion, we need health care in the state of Georgia fully funded so our children aren’t fighting for resources, we all need good jobs in the State of Georgia that pay a living wage, a livable wage.”

And about our recently signed-into-law insane “constitutional carry” bill which allows the carrying of concealed weapons WITHOUT A PERMIT in our state. (It should be called “criminal carry.”)
“In Georgia right now, we have a governor who is making Georgia the wild west. He is not respecting public safety,” Abrams said.
And look! Orange-flowered HR made the news …

Definitely marveling!
It’s Jasmine Season in Savannah!
Beautifully simple blossoms.
Heavenly scent, and sent.

On every walk these days!

When you go to a garden do you look at the weeds? Spend more time with the roses and jasmines.
