1. Robert and me enjoying an Atlanta Braves home game.

“Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks
I don’t care if I never get back
Let me root, root, root for the home team
If they don’t win it’s a shame …”

BTW, it was a shame, darn it.

But still a grand old time.

2. And what’s a baseball game without a foot-long hotdog?!

3. The ability to smile … and mean it.

4. Atlanta’s High Museum of Art, one of our favorite spots to hang out when we visit the ATL.

5. Taking a closer look at the very artistic children’s playground at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park.

It was imagined and designed back in 1976 by terrific artist Isamu Noguchi.

May you get some playing done this weekend!

2. Early voting on Monday!

3. The wonderful gift of the ability to read. (Not everybody can.)

4. A fun “inFARMation” stop at Southern Belle Farm in McDonough GA.

5. Having a blast at Truist Park as the Atlanta Braves played the Detroit Lions.

1. Attending The Annual Memorial Day Garden Party at friends Pat and Mary Prokops’s lovely Savannah home. Pat is retired now but was a longtime popular meteorologist on a local Savannah station.

3. The blessing/luxury of having a car. Everybody doesn’t.

4. Fresh vegetables from our favorite Savannah produce stand.

Five Friday Happy Bringers 6/16/23

My weekly gratitude journal, of sorts.

1. Visiting this teeny farm market at Nu Sunrise Farms in Griffin, GA.

All sales were based on the honor system! Here is Robert paying for our vine ripened tomatoes and goat’s milk with lavender body lotion.

2. Having enough money to buy tomatoes and goat’s milk lotion.

3. Watching the Atlanta Braves beat the Colorado Rockies 8-3 last night at Truist Firld.

HR gets a tad excited at the big plays.

4. My homemade chicken and dumplings.

5. Art submerged in aquariums! A new exhibition at the University of Georgia Aquarium over on Skidaway Island near us.

May your weekend ahead be submerged in joy and discovery.
