Seeing the happiness in the holidays.

My daily snapshot of Robert’s and my 2023 trip to get away from Savannah’s St. Patrick’s Day parade and celebrations.
It is a rainy and cool St. Patrick’s Day here in Atlanta on day four of our little trek to get away from Savannah.
So we have enjoyed “indoor.” A workout at the Y and a hot tub soak. A little shopping. And now a lazy afternoon snuggled on the couch.
So resting comfortably, I send this blessing out to you all.

A few odds and ends from Valentine’s Day 2023.
Taking a walk this morning near us here in Savannah, Robert and I came upon this neat little house.

They go all out every holiday. And I always look forward to their displays.

Those of you who follow my blog may remember that Robert is an MCG (Multiple Card Giver). I used to think it was odd that I would get more than one card for my birthday, etc., but now I kook forward to it.
My valentineS this year:

And open!

And here’s my card to HR:

(We were both obviously on sort of a gay theme this year.)

A Blooming Valentine-y February in Savannah …

I hope you’re having a LOVE-ly day.

Happy, Healthy Writing in 2023!

May your Christmas Day be heaped and warmed with that which you consider Good.

May the Very Merriest of Christmases flow your way!

Robert and I have been enjoying (well, mostly) leftovers from our Thanksgiving family gathering. He likes the turkey heated up, while I prefer it cold (#152 on our list of differences).
The green bean casserole and sweet potato pie may be reduced to near crumbs in our fridge, but not the memories of the fun and laughter from Thanksgiving Day.
Here are a few leftover smiles and laughs.

Leftovers can be deliciously fulfilling.

So this year Robert and I hosted our big ole modern family’s Thanksgiving Gathering at Skidaway Island State Park here in Savannah.
We rented one of their picnic shelters near the playground and prayed for good weather.

20 of us in all this year.

HR is the family photographer and can get very bossy when telling people where and how to sit or stand.

A joyful gathering.
I hope you had a meaningful and peaceful Thanksgiving Day.
This weekend is Savannah Pride. (It’s too hot to have it in June, the traditional month for Pride.)

Happy YOU!
