March Pumpkin

For some freakish reason, my pumpkin from last October is still doing great.  This is a pic from …  right now!

It made me think about a couple of Halloweens ago when grandson/Batman Daniel got frustrated with little brother Gabriel when G wouldn’t finish getting dressed in his doctor scrubs for trick or treating.

But what should I do with that pumpkin?  See if it will make it till fall?

Five Friday Happy Bringers (3/17/12) — Saturday Edition

It’s Friday again (okay it’s really Saturday–I’m just getting to the Friday Happy Bringers post) and here are Five Things I’m Happy about.

1.  It’s St Patrick’s Day, which is always a bit special to me because green is my favorite color, I don’t like snakes, and I’ve always loved saying “Top of the mornin’ to you.”

2.  For some reason, thinking about the holiday made me remember with a smile last Halloween and the picture below.  Four-year-old Batman Daniel is perplexed that two-year-old Doctor Gabriel doesn’t want to don his scrub hat and complete his outfit.

3.  While we’re at it, Merry Christmas!

4.  The chiropractor.

5.  Trying to remember to stop and smell the roses.  (Even when they aren’t roses, and they don’t really have much of a smell.)
