Today I see icy joy.
While we didn’t get the Savannah snow and ice storm that was predicted, Mama Winter DID INDEED show up last night with her freezing temperatures and icy tentacles.

Okay, okay, I know that if you’re reading this post in Minnesota, you’re making fun of me by now. But this IS the deep South, and 50 degrees is brrr to us.
And while freezing temperatures bring all sorts of serious problems, the cold also shares some joy. Below are a few examples of winter’s beauty in my historic district neighborhood.
I ventured out to the weekly Gratitude in the Squares gathering at 12:12 pm, this week in beautiful Columbia Square. Six of us showed up–what cold fun!
