1. My glasses.

Oh my goodness, WHAT would I do without them?!
2. The Atlanta Braves winning the National League East … again.

3. Lunch with youngest granddaughter Isabelle for Pre-K lunch (at 10:45 a.m.!).

Isabelle hugging Nana and holding a tiny piece of broccoli.

4. Colorful Fall

5. The simple joy of being alive.

Side note: The dead-looking, brownish clumps you see to the right and underneath the brilliant green …

They are not dead at all. They are Resurrection Ferns. And as soon as the next rain comes, they will burst into more obvious life and challenge the green vine’s brilliance.
May we all burst into More Obvious Life this weekend!
Nice pics! 🙂

Well as they say…the best laid plans. Our furnace broke down last night and so until we can get someone out to fix it we are not able to go to our daughter’s as she is 2 hours drive. With nighttime temps down to freezing we cant leave the house. We do have two wood burning stoves so we are not arctic inside but we have to be here to keep them going. Very disappointing. 😢

I’m sad about my age-induced declining vision acuity, but grateful I have the funds and access to purchase the glasses I need to correct my vision.

I agree. Everybody doesn’t have our good fortune.
