1. Seeing this display at Fresh Market snd thinking it was giving me life advice …

(I still think it’s pretty good life advice.)
2. Having a delightfully laidback and peaceful post-Thanksgiving meal with two of Robert’s children.

3. The color green (my favorite).

4. Last night’s Design District Holiday Walk here in Savannah.

With the fanciest and most beautiful hors d’oeuvres I have ever seen.

5. HR’s fall-hearty and yummy chicken casserole the other night.

I hope your weekend casseroles around beautifully for you.
Such loving snapshots of your lives and loves and food. Yes, stay spicy! Words to live by. 😉

Great reflection of your week – especially that hand-held charcuterie. Now, do you think that Robert would share that amazing chicken casserole recipe??

I’m sure he would, but I think he sort of made up most of it!

Nice to see HR’s two children. well they’re grown ups but anyway… I have just been talking to a friend of mine who lives out West. We went to school together. She is a rider and had a bad fall in the summer while competing. Scans revealed she had multiple injuries and also cancer throughout her body. She is dying and seems reconciled with that. I was shocked when she told me all this. It makes you think how easily things can change in an instant. I am giving thanks for being alive and well and basically just needing some repairs to my hip. Minor detail by comparison to my friend. Not a happy bringer so sorry to be a downer but I just finished speaking with her and my mind is still reeling.

Oh Anne. You are not a downer at all, and neither is that news. It is a part of the cycle of life. My her transition go peacefully and with great memories of a life well lived. Much love your way and hers.

Thank you Neal. We were best friends in school and so have known each other most of our lives. It is indeed all part of the cycle of life.

Thanks. The old skillet actually belonged to my grandmother. So it has seen a lot of use over years!
