“Respite”

Well, I’m both moaning AND marveling this Monday morn.
I’m dealing with some frustratingly “I’m-getting-older!” arthritis issues, especially in my creaky knees.
My microwaveable heating pad is an indispensable MARVEL for temporary relief.

Benny is getting older as well—going on 16 now.

He needs the heating pad too.
I might have gotten the Cool Card …

… but I know who HR’s True Valentine is …

My weekly gratitude journal, of sorts.
1. This old tree we saw near us on a Thanksgiving morning walk in Savannah’s Colonial Park Cemetery.

Do you see what I see on his trunk?

In the lower half, there’s a Big Bunny with gigantic upward ears!
And if you forget the bunny and look again at the entire trunk, there’s a Brown Monster with a three-pronged crown, green tongue and menacingly raised arms! Watch out!

2. On the other hand, here’s a quartet of happily handsome fellows: son-in-law Scott and three grandsons Jack, Gabriel and Daniel searching for the perfect Christmas tree.

3. A bountiful Thanksgiving Feast yesterday.

4. Moments in life when you feel JOY.
5. And finally, I’m happily thankful for HR.

May you have a BIG weekend ahead!

So as some of you know, if you follow my blog, HR’s (Husband Robert’s) older cat Boopers passed away recently.
It was a tough transition for Robert.

Boopers’ “brother” Benny has also had a difficult time adjusting to life without Boopers. Especially at night. They often slept together.

So Robert recently ordered a HuggieKitty … “companion” for Benny.

DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE THINGS?!

HuggieKitty has a heartbeat!
HuggieKitty can purr!
HuggieKitty even has an insertable heat pack to simulate body warmth!
My first thought when HuggieKitty arrived:
“Robert, do you really think Benny is stupid enough to think that is a real cat?! He is much smarter than that. He will have NOTHING to do with … HuggieKitty“

OKAY
P.S. I have ordered a HuggieKitty for myself in case Robert gets a job as a night watchman, or something.
