March Pumpkin

For some freakish reason, my pumpkin from last October is still doing great.  This is a pic from …  right now!

Really.

It made me think about a couple of Halloweens ago when grandson/Batman Daniel got frustrated with little brother Gabriel when G wouldn’t finish getting dressed in his doctor scrubs for trick or treating.

Haloween D and G

But what should I do with that pumpkin?  See if it will make it till fall?

Happiest of Halloweens to You!

Grandson Daniel and I yesterday afternoon, after carving Mr. Jack o’ Lantern.

Happy Fall, Yall*

* “Yall”–I’ve decided to start spelling the wonderful Southern word this way because of the disagreement over whether it should be “y’all” (linguists often say this is the correct spelling because it’s a corrupt contraction), but some folks prefer “ya’ll” which actually looks better to me.  After extensive research (okay, maybe it was just Urban Dictionary and Wikipedia), I decided to make a new spelling–“yall.”  Now isn’t that clean and neat?

Anyhoo, HAPPY FALL!  I love this season of the year.
