Today was granddaughter Isabelle‘s first day of pre-K.

Isabelle’s expression … “I’m not so sure about this school thing.“

A great first day of school! So much to learn. So much to do.

Isabelle’s expression … “I’m not so sure about this school thing.“

A great first day of school! So much to learn. So much to do.
A blog category of pics I’ve taken of HR (Hubby Robert) and … well, just about anything.
Robert and … edamame. And gaily expressing beyond-normal happiness about it.

But I try not to judge.
1. Leftover Low Country Boil. Yum!

2. Air conditioning. Air conditioning. Air conditioning. Our real feel here in Savannah is 100+ nearly every day lately.
3. Grandson Daniel in Savannah Theatre’s summer production of “Grease.” Great music and fun.

4. The inexplicable joy of having a husband who loves my ex-wife Donna and works hard on projects for her. Here he’s putting together a picture frame hanging thingy for a puzzle. I quickly lost interest and started a lengthy internal debate about how much pink Himalayan sea salt I should shake on my butter pecan ice cream.

5. The power of prayer.

I pray you have a brilliant weekend ahead.
A blog category about finding “art” in unexpected places and situations.
So I was minding my own business, sitting in my study chair …

… meditating on why the Kardashians are still “a thing,” when Robert, who had been in the kitchen working on his ice cream sundae, barreled into the study and shoved this in my face …

“OoKaay,” I said, but really concentrating on Kim’s issue with her bangs.
“No, look, Neal!” (R only calls me by my name when he is animated). “LOOK.”

“Uh, that’s the top of the fudge jar,” I observed.
“No, no,” he squealed, “your Artful Dodger blog category. LOOK.”

Then I saw him! A cute little brown puppy!

Aww. Isn’t he adorable?!
1. Our joyful trip to New York (which I now promise I will stop posting about).

2. Bananas.

3. Crêpe myrtles in Savannah summer heat.

4. The blessing of having a bathroom. With running cold and hot (!) water, a toilet and a shower.
5. Seeing clover.

Hope you see a Wonderful Weekend ahead!
1. Pausing to take a little mid-day snack break.

2. Youngest granddaughter Isabelle graduating from pre-school.

3. Rain.
4. HR’s new summer do for our trip up to the Catskills and Manhattan.

5. Taking off from Savannah heading to the Catskills to see grandson Daniel in his end-of-drama-camp show.

I hope you are taking off in the direction of a terrific weekend.
Marveling at our little potted sunflower that HR found …

1. Air conditioning! What a blessing.

2. Enjoying Pride month in our humble abode.

3. The ability to read and write.
4. Daughter Emily giving me this old picture she found at a yard sale. It’s special because we had the same one hanging above our fireplace while she was growing up.

5. Having eyes which can embrace truth. Even difficult truth.

May your eyes see a joyful weekend ahead.
