T-Shirt Tuesday “We’re All Connected”

On our morning walk in the mall today (with all the other “it’s-too-hot-to-walk-outside” old folks), HR and I came across this t-shirt in the window of one shop. Robert immediately suggested it for T-shirt Tuesday.

I didn’t quite get it at first. It just looked like an expensive Nike t-shirt.

But there was something about the first photo I took (capturing some neat reflections from behind) that exuded a bit of otherworldliness.

So I looked closer.

And closer.

Mentally removing the “Nike,” I appreciated the truthfulness of the quirky artwork.

Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad we are connected.

My Saturday Evening Post: 9/10/22 “Savannah’s Resurrection Fern”

On our Saturday morning walk, across the street from us here in Historic District Savannah, we came across resurrection fern bursting forth from … bricks.

Do you know about resurrection fern?

From Southern Living magazine …

The fern looks dead when it’s dry, but when it rains, it becomes beautifully green. Even from bricks.

I’m not resurrection fern, but I’m growing from brick too.

Here’s resurrection fern this evening from outside our front door, looking up.

We could probably learn a thing or two from resurrection fern.

I, resurrection fern, am in the lower left, with my green cousins nearby.

Five Friday Happy Bringers 9/9/22

1. Last night, making my Roasted Tomato Basil Soup (with fresh local tomatoes).

Beyond delicious, with Robert’s Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.

2. Being grateful for a car, my little vehicle which transports HR and me from one point to another.

I so often take my car for granted. Then driving through Savannah, I’ll look at the bus stops and see so many people who do not have cars.

3. My cute photographer husband.

Hilton head Island, South Carolina

4. Mr. Happy.

5. My chair in our study.

It’s where I sit just to sit. Or meditate. Or read. Or talk with Robert. Or argue with Robert.

May you sit in joy this weekend.
